Sardinia's South-Coast Ecological Sanctuary
Spiaggia di Tuerredda is located in the municipal territory of Teulada in the Province of South Sardinia. Nestled within a deep natural bay between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, the beach is famous for its double-arch stretch of fine sand and transparent turquoise waters. The sand is extremely fine and light-colored, which gives the water a tropical hue. A small rocky islet sits just 150 meters from the shore, providing a popular destination for swimmers and snorkelers.
Due to intense tourist pressure and the fragile nature of the coastal dunes, the Municipality of Teulada has implemented a strict carrying-capacity program. The beach has a daily visitor limit to prevent overcrowding and sand erosion. During the active season, visitors must secure a digital booking to gain entry to the beach. The management of the booking engine is overseen by Oikos Servizi S.r.l., ensuring that the natural heritage of the cove is preserved for future generations.
The Carrying-Capacity Program
The daily visitor limit is capped at 1,100 people. This total is split between the free public beach, which accommodates 729 spots, and the private beach clubs, which hold 371 spots. The entrance control program operates daily from June 2 to October 15, between the hours of 08:00 AM and 06:00 PM. Visitors who arrive outside of these hours can enter without a reservation, but overnight camping is strictly prohibited. The standard reservation fee is €3.00 (~$3.27) per adult, while children under 12 enter free.
